Knights take on London Lituanica in semi-final

Knights impress but fall short in semi final

NULC made the trip to London on Sunday to take on London Lituanica in the much anticipated Semi Final match. As the game got underway it looked as it would be business as usual for the London team, but they quickly found out that this was not going to be the case. The stubborn Knights would show London that they were not going to go down without a fight. London had built up an early 20 point lead but that was quickly reduced by some very accurate 3 point shooting from Laz Thompson and Joshua Dos Santos. As the game progressed the standing room only crowd got involved as the Knights fans took issue with some rather bizarre officiating at times. The Knights would continue to fight but in the end they would fall short 90-76. The final score would not reflect what the Knights accomplished on this great day of basketball.
Coach Jamison had this to say” My guys were tested today and as far as I’m concerned they passed. They came to play on the big stage and were not intimidated by London. We have a good team that will continue to get better. I’m also very happy that some of the guys got a chance to play in front of their families in London, also a special mention to the fans who rode down with us you were awesome!!
Special mention to Little Shawn for winning the half time shootout.”
