What
a great day of basketball at the Gordon Banks Sports Centre!! The annual
basketball festival which is put on by Coach Shawn Jamison and his Hoopskills
organization did not disappoint once again. The two coaches for the day were
Shawn Jamison and Malcolm Leak. Jamison kicked off the festival by addressing
the attendees and speaking on everything from training habits, motivation,
playing ball in the US, and the definition of the festivals theme. Coach Leak
would also address the attendees and give his take on basketball here in the
UK, self motivation, and reaching your full potential as a basketball player.
When the two coaches were done speaking the theme of the festival would be put
to the forefront “Make it Happen.” Coach Jamison gave his take on the festivals
theme,” We as ball players have the unique ability to make things happen,
through hard work and dedication there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able
to fulfil your life’s dreams and goals, I am living proof of this.”
