Men's Volleyball team reach national cup final

Newcastle-under- Lyme College’s men's volleyball squad managed to reach the final of the British Colleges Sport National Cup for the 2nd year running. TEAM: NULC, who were crowned champions, last year faced stiff opposition in the form of Middlesbrough College who made the 4 and half hour journey for the 2nd time in a month.
After a tough beginning TEAM: NULC managed to win the game 3 sets to 1 and showed their class throughout the game beating a very good Middlesbrough team.
Newcastle-under-Lyme College is 1 of 6 National Satellite Academies for Volleyball England which allows the players extra training time, sports science support and sports therapy.
The final will now be played on the 2nd May at the National Volleyball Centre in Kettering against PETROC College
The mixed squad are also through to the national cup final and will again be looking to defend their national crown. If all goes to plan this will hopefully be another successful year for the college’s Volleyball Academy.
