Volleyball Academy benefit from the Olympics

Newcastle-under-Lyme Volleyball Academy, one of 6 in the country with national status has been given a boost after being donated a large amount of equipment that was used at the London 2102 Olympics.

The college received balls, post and net system, umpires rostrum and ball cages amongst other things. All the equipment is branded up and brings a feel of the Olympics to Newcastle-under-lyme college.

The equipment give away is part of the 2012 legacy and forms part of the National Satellite Volleyball academy programme which the college is part of in partnership with Newcastle Staffs Volleyball club.

Below is a picture of Abbie Jackson (Academy of Sport Apprentice) and Emma Broadhurst (Senior Duty Manager of the Gordon Banks Sports Centre) with some of the equipment.
