Academy of Sport Staff Visit St Georges Park

On Wednesday 31st October, 8 members of staff from the college's Academy of Sport visited the new Football Association headquarters at St Georges Park in Burton. The new £110 million facility will be the headquarters of the England national football teams, and boast facilities such as a hydro theraphy pool, 100 piece gymnasium, indoor domed pitch and over 10 football pitches.

The college staff were visiting the facilities due to a new partnership formed with the FA that will see the college hold pre-season training camps at the college in September 2013. The facilities will also be visited by students who are part of the Elite Sports Performance Programme, and football academy students will take part in the coach education programme.

Assistant Manager of the Academy, David Sutton said 'this marks the start of a great new relationship between the college and St Gorges park which will allow our students to use world class facilities'.
