As the season draws to a close for Football, Netball, Basketball, Volleyball and Rugby there were still some important fixtures to be played yesterday.
The Men’s Basketball Academy rounded off what has been a fantastic season by winning the West Midlands Performance League with a comprehensive 140-44 win over Dudley College . This adds to the National Cup final that they reached and caps what has been a great season. Congratulations go to Shawn Jamison, the coach, and all the players. Well done!!
The Netball Academy consolidated 3rd place in the West Midlands Performance league with a win over Dudley and will now be looking forward to regaining their crown as West Midlands Champions next year.
The Ladies Football Academy missed out on possibly winning the West Midlands Performance league by losing to Stafford in a game which they dominated from start to finish. They now have a game next week against Shrewsbury to confirm the runners-up spot.
Next week I will attach a form showing just where all the teams have finished in what has been an incredibly successful year. Well done to all the students and coaches of all Academy teams.
